Iowa Notary Public Class

'It is what we think we know already that often prevents us from learning'

Claude Bernard

While Iowa Notary Law does not require training prior to becoming an Iowa Notary Public, it is the Notaries responsibility to seek out and learn the proper steps and role they play in society, the service they are to provide to the public. A Notary Pocketbook can be found on the Iowa Secretary of State website as an initial guide to your duties, however, the next step is to gain further explanation and details of those duties.

Many of the more seasoned Iowa Notaries who attend one of these classes, leave stating how they wish this class were available when they were a new notary.

Others who are new notaries but have not yet utilized their commission out of a fear of doing something wrong, leave the class with the comment that they feel confident to perform their duties now.

All seem to leave the class with a smile and a confidence they did not have before class. You can view comments from these individuals here.
